Once Again; Shame On the Far-Left, Liberal Leadership of this State

I have been on Facebook writing emails to the Seattle Urban League, the Seattle City Council, Seattle Mayor McGinn, the Interim Police Chief, the Editor of the Seattle PI and a few others in support of Seattle Police Officer Ian Walsh.

If you look at the basics of this event and the response by the Democrat leaders, you will see the fundamental difference between a conservative and a liberal. You will see why being liberal is dangerous for our society. And I would go as far as saying that they are the main reason for the increase in crime over the past 40 years or so.

Officer Ian Walsh according to a few police experts reacted according to his training and showed great restraint. From what I have seen, many of the public also feel that Officer Walsh reacted appropriately and the problem was not with Officer Walsh’s actions but the actions of the two criminals he was attempting to arrest.

However, like a classic liberal politician, Seattle City Attorney Pete Holmes came out in support of the two criminals and condemned the Police Department before there was even an investigation. I think Mr. Holmes saw part of the video tape and felt it that would benefit his interest to side with the criminals. I think this was a serious political miscalculation on his part. His Facebook page is being littered with opposition to his statement against the Seattle Police Department as we speak.

We need to stop allowing these left minded politicians to shape our society. We need to hold criminals accountable and not allow liberals to shift blame from the real source. Why can’t the Mayor and the City Attorney put half as much effort into fighting these criminal thugs as they do prosecuting the police? They have sent a clear message that if you resist or assault the police, a democrat politician will back you up. It is sickening and people should wake up.

And fyi, this is my own personal opinion and not an official statement by the Thurston County Republican Party. Thank you

Pat Beelher's Opponent

As I was looking through “Karen’s Qualifications” on her website, I couldn’t help but to chuckle a bit. One of her bulleted items as being able to make “tough decisions” is “protect our neighborhoods and special places.” Isn’t this the same Commissioner from the Thurston County Commission -- or as I like to call it Thurston County Democrat Commission -- that, just a year ago, wanted to cut Sheriff’s Deputies over building paint and carpet cleaning projects? Yes, I believe it is.

Pat Beehler for County Commissioner #3

Welcome

I believe that Thurston County needs a genuine strategic plan to avoid a repeat of the past 2 years of crisis budgeting. We need a budget that addresses the county's most critical needs.

When elected, I will work to adopt an operational strategic plan and budget that includes the prioritization of county services, especially public safety and public health. A quality plan is critical if we are to properly manage government and balance the county budget with sustainable revenues. Cooperation and collaboration with other levels of government are crucial if we are to move Thurston County forward. The citizens of our County deserve no less.
Issues: Public Safety
Public Health
Sustainable Budget
Environmental Stewardship
Economic Growth
Family Wage Jobs

I have the experience to accomplish this important job. I've been employed in the public and private sector, and owned my own small business for 13 years. I served 10 years on the Thurston County Historic Commission and I have over 40 years of local community service and leadership.

Four generations of my family have lived in Thurston County. As a long time resident I care deeply about the future of our community and will work to restore efficiency and competency to county government. Our future depends on balancing environmental concerns with the need for economic development and creating family wage jobs.

I'm asking for your vote and help in restoring transparency, competent management and responsible leadership in government.

Health Care Debate Speech

Congressman Mike Rogers from Michigan’s 8th congressional district gives testimony against government run health care:

Bad News for Obama

Obama has enjoyed the mainstream media unabashed fawning of his popularity, until today. I clicked on a story that MSN.com had on their home page written by Howard Fineman titled “Is Obama’s Star Dimming as US Stocks Drop”. It’s the first time that I’ve seen any real criticism towards Obama. Here is an exerpt:

I’m not sure the rest of the world sees the White House as “the place to be” any more. And that will have unsettling consequences for all of us. Obama’s role as the elegant, path-breaking, intercultural celebrity is not enough to reverse a steady erosion of our global dominance — especially not if he’s seen merely as a new hood ornament on an economic clunker.

Same ol' Same ol'

Hypocrisy runs thick in your veins. Yeah, you know who you are. In 2008, you said you wanted change. It is apparent not only by the recent election and almost every election prior for the past 30 years that you want anything but change. The name of your party suggests that you enjoy democracy yet allow big unions to determine which government will serve the union best. You state that a robust debate is a foundation to democracy yet maintain strongholds within our government – stomping out competition year after year. You have become what you hate – a very large and powerful, monopolizing corporation making self-interest a priority. You are the Democratic Party.
